I'm baaack!

Well, actually I got back 3 days ago but this is the first chance I've had to sit at the computer. I didn't get a chance to blog at all during my holiday, Much to mum's disgust. I'm not going to post everything tonight because there's just to much and also there are too many photos for one post, so I've decided to give an overview here and then work back day-by-day as I get the time.

We arrived in Townsville about 9.30 Tuesday June 19th, and were met at the airport by Jen, Chris' sister, whom we were staying with. We were in Townsville until Thursday the 28th, during which time we spent a lot of time catching up with the boys friends and family, and also went up to Paluma (rainforest); the lookout at Castle Hill, from which you can see the city and the bay; Billabong sanctuary; for late night walks along the beach; went fishing for the first time; and spent a day at the beautiful Magnetic Island.

We left early on Thursday 28th June with Jen and Craig, Chris' BIL, for the drive to Cairns. On the way we stopped off at Mission Beach, and the Atherton tablelands. Once we were settled in the hotel (Jen and Craig stayed at the same one), we went out shopping and to a seafood buffet dinner. Friday we went on the Rivertrain cruise in the Daintree rainforest and saw three adult male crocs, Saturday we went on a Great Barrier Reef cruise, which included snorkeling, Sunday was our day to relax by the pool and wander around town a bit, and Sunday we took the skyrail to Kuranda and the scenic railway back before having to come home. We got into Melbourne at 11.45pm Monday 2nd July.

We went up to mum's on Tuesday to collect the cats, and discovered that miss Suki has not been eating for a few days. She has been to the vet today and had a shot and antibiotics, she's going back on Saturday and will need tests done if she hasn't improved by then.
